Goondiwindi Library runs a range of weekly, monthly and annual activities for all ages and interests. You may find a program or event below that sparks your interest or perhaps you would like to volunteer some of your time to assist our library team with a program.
Programs For Kids
First 5 Forever Story Time
First 5 Forever storytime is an interactive program for preschool children and babies featuring songs, rhymes and stories. This is a free event conducted in a relaxed atmosphere with a focus on fun for all preschool children, babies and their caregivers. These activities are designed to help prepare your children for school and encourage:
- good listening skills and developing a love of reading and learning
- fine and gross motor skills development and coordination
- memory, sequencing and rhyming skills
- social interaction, creativity and family fun
First 5 Forever sessions include singing, rhymes and stories. Sessions are held fortnightly.

Programs for the Adults
Library Lovers Literary Group
This group meets on the 3rd Tuesday of each month in the library to discuss great authors and exciting reads, themed quizzes and crosswords. For more information contact Ilona at the Library on 4671 7470.
In partnership with Care Goondiwindi the Library provides a free service for those who are permanently or temporarily unable to access the library. Items can be selected on your behalf in line with your preferences and delivered to your door. Deliveries are available to homes in Goondiwindi, Kaloma Home for the Aged and Oak Tree Retirement Village. Kaloma Reading Group
Run monthly in partnership with Kaloma Home of the Aged, our library staff gather local history and interesting books to read and discuss with groups at Kaloma as part of their Lifestyle program. For more information contact the Library on 4671 7470.
Did you know books, magazines and audio-books can be accessed by a special delivery service to remote access customers across the region? Items can be reserved online, or selected by staff based on customer interests and delivered to a resident who is a Library member.
