The Texas Heritage Centre & Tobacco Museum has been around since 1973 and has always been run by volunteers. The museum buildings which display memorabilia from Texas, including the original Police Station, open 1890 together with the gaol and have been open and tended by volunteer member over the years. The tobacco displays are from local district tobacco farms which give some insight to what life was like back then when tobacco kept the town alive. They are open every Saturday from 9:30AM to 1:30PM. For more information, please contact Tony on 07 4653 1392 or Garth on 0419 264 174.
