This week, we will host a visit from the CEO of the Queensland Trucking Association, Gary Mahon, who brings extensive industry experience and represents road freight operators across the state. Our region is a critical freight corridor, particularly for movements between Queensland and the southern states.

Advocacy for improved childcare access continues
Alongside the team at Council, I am working closely with local families to find a solution to the challenges our region is facing with childcare, and a strong, community led advocacy is emerging in this space.

Council extends residential building fee waiver for one more year

Goondiwindi Regional Council resolved to extend an incentive that waives building application fees as well as applicable water connection, plumbing and drainage fees for new residential dwellings.
