Community Facilities Master Plans

Council works closely with our community and sporting groups to develop Master Plans, which are vital for guiding the long-term vision and development of our community facilities. These plans are born from direct collaboration, gathering essential insights into facility usage, maintenance needs, and future aspirations.

The aim of each Master Plan is to outline a comprehensive strategy for essential infrastructure maintenance, renewal, and replacement projects. This includes creating proposed schedules for repair and maintenance works, and prioritising necessary remedial actions to keep our facilities in good working condition.

By working together with locals, Master Plans help us strategically prepare for funding opportunities, ensuring proposed upgrades and improvements align with community needs and Council's financial capacity now and into the future. The implementation of these plans will generally occur over many stages as funding becomes available or necessity drives the process, allowing for flexible and responsive development. This partnership ensures that all projects are well-planned, compliant, and contribute to sustainable and inviting spaces for everyone in the Goondiwindi Region.
