Council advises that works to upgrade Goondiwindi Sewerage Pump Station 1 (SPS1) located in Pratten Street, Goondiwindi is scheduled to commence on Monday, 13 April 2026 and is expected to take approximately 5 weeks to complete, subject to weather permitting.
While the majority of works will be contained within the fenced pump station compound, some works be required in Pratten Street, between the sewerage pump station and the northern end of Pratten Street, and between Pratten Street and Brisbane Street to renew and connect to an existing pipeline.
During these works, residents may experience minor, temporary impacts to property access. Traffic management will be in place as required, and access will be maintained wherever possible. Residents may also notice an increase in construction activity, including additional vehicles, noise and personnel in the area.
