Community Support Services

People are encouraged to apply for assistance online via the Community Recovery online portal or over the phone 1800 173 349, but if they are unable to, they can visit Community Recovery staff who will be operating from a local hub.

Community Recovery Hub 

The Community Recovery Hub has been set up in the Civic Centre in Inglewood to assist the community with a one-stop shop for assistance. The Department of Communities Recovery team are present each day from 9-4pm with recovery information and services. The hub is operational until Sunday 12th December. After this time outreach support will still be available, details of which will be available here as it becomes available so please refer back to this site in a few days. Support will be available for a long time to assist our community in their recovery.

Financial Assistance

The Commonwealth an State Governments have activated several grants which are listed from pages 6 to 9 of the above Community Recovery Amber Pack.

Lifeline - Providing counselling and support

Salvation Army - Providing disaster recovery support services

GIVIT - Co-ordination of replacement of household goods from donations.

Laundry Facilities

Other Support:


The support available for NAB customers and colleagues directly impacted by the current floods includes:

  • Immediate access to $1,000 grants to help cover costs such as temporary accommodation, food and clothing (eligibility criteria applies).
  • $1,000 business grants to help restart or reopen and cover the cost of damaged property, equipment, fencing – and for loss of stock or livestock. NAB business and agribusiness customers wishing to access the grants should call NAB’s dedicated team on 1300 769 650
  • This support is in addition to the previously announced disaster relief package, providing a range of financial relief measures (details at NAB announces flood relief package for NSW and QLD – NAB News).

NAB customers who have suffered damage to their home and need assistance can call NAB Assist on 1300 308 132.

All enquiries will be assessed on a case-by-case basis by the NAB Assist team to determine eligibility.
