Goondiwindi Regional Council received a funding grant under the Queensland Government's 2016-17 Grants and Subsidies Program (Natural Disaster Resilience) to install two (2) Electronic Community Noticeboards in Goondiwindi and one (1) in Inglewood.

Noticeboard 1 has been installed in the Goondiwindi Town Park, on the Marshall Street frontage.  Noticeboard 2 is located in McLean Street next to the Council Chambers.  The Inglewood Noticeboard is in front of the SES building.

In 2021 another two noticeboards were installed. One is in Texas (funded by Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program) and one is at the Goondiwindi Waggamba Community Cultural Centre.

Guidelines and Procedures have been established to properly manage the content of the Electronic Community Noticeboards to ensure a consistent quality, tone and professional standard is maintained.

The electronic community noticeboards will be used for the display of Council information and the promotion of Community Events/Functions only. They will not be used for commercial purposes, or advertising for products and services.

The placement of Banners in the Marshall Street CBD no longer exists.  Community Groups and Organisations will instead use the Electronic Community Noticeboards to promote their events/functions.

This will minimise any potential booking conflicts into the future, in that the electronic noticeboards have the ability to display multiple notices (i.e. display more than one event) at the same time; and also provides opportunity to better target frequency and audience on the lead up to an event.

All requests for display of event notices should be submitted by completing the application form below.
