Material Change of Use
« BackGenerally, this term applies to premises when you:
- start of a new use of the premises; or
- re-establish on your premises a use that has been abandoned; or
- significantly increase the intensity or scale of the use of the premises; or
It also applies to environmentally relevant activities.
“Premises” means a building or other structure and/or land.
The legal definitions of "Premises" and “Material Change of Use” are in SCHEDULE 2 - DICTIONARY of the Planning Act 2016.
