PFIZER Vaccine rollout in Goondiwindi open to anyone over 16, including cross-border residents - no registration required

The Goondiwindi Pfizer Vaccination Super Clinic is open daily (including Sunday) from 8.30am to 4pm right through to 4pm Thursday 1 July.

The Honourable Cr Lawrence Springborg AM said, “I’ve been talking to Darling Downs Health officials to clarify who is eligible and I can confirm that anyone over the age of 16, as long as you haven’t already had a COVID vaccine, can access the vaccine at the Goondiwindi Hospital this week. This includes people over the age of 59 that would prefer to have Pfizer over Astra Zeneca.  I also want New South Wales cross-border residents to know that they are encouraged to make the most of the Goondiwindi Hospital Pfizer Super Clinic whilst it is here.

“Darling Downs Health have also scrapped the need to pre-register.  All you need to do is turn up and they will complete the registration process on-site,’ the Mayor confirmed.

“Goondiwindi has been selected for the Super Clinic rollout due to our proximity to the border, and the volume of traffic through our region. We can’t afford to be complacent and we all need to get serious about protecting ourselves and the community.  What you are seeing across the nation at present, is the highly contagious delta variant of COVID-19 and high levels of vaccination is the only way we are going to be able to keep seeing our friends and family, and keep businesses open.

“I strongly encourage employers across the region to consider a plan to allow your staff the opportunity to access the vaccine at some point between Monday and Thursday (8.30am to 4pm) this week.

“Just turn up and the great team at the Goondiwindi Hospital will look after your questions and have you vaccinated and back to your daily activities in no time,” said the Mayor.

Darling Downs Health (DDH) are holding a Pfizer Vaccination Super Clinic at the Goondiwindi Hospital for people aged 16 and over through to Thursday 1 July, 8.30am - 4pm (including Saturday and Sunday).
