Businesses, organisations, investors, real estate professionals, and other key stakeholders are invited to participate in the Inglewood Housing Forum on Wednesday, 4 October, at 5:30 pm. The event will take place at the Inglewood Civic Centre, with a focus on collaborative solutions to address the region's housing issues.

The Inglewood discussions will mark the third housing forum held in the region, following successful discussions in Goondiwindi at the Goondiwindi Chamber of Commerce Housing Solutions Forum and Texas in partnership with Texas Queensland Incorporated (TQI) over the past year. In these prior forums, Goondiwindi delegates from various sectors proposed innovative solutions to address the region's tight rental market and, in Texas, how to optimise vacant lots of land, including through subdivisions.

Mayor of the Goondiwindi Region, the Honourable Cr Lawrence Springborg AM, will be among the panel of speakers who will share their knowledge, experience, and suggestions.

"Councillors and officers from Goondiwindi Regional Council will be attending the Inglewood Housing Forum, including town planning and building, and engineering officers, who will be available to answer housing queries," Cr Springborg said.

"The Inland Rail team will also be present to engage in discussions about housing options for their Inglewood workforce."

"This Forum is a valuable opportunity for stakeholders to come together, share insights, and explore actionable solutions to the region's housing issues. Participation is highly encouraged, and we look forward to your presence at this important event.

“The Goondiwindi and Texas forums generated valuable suggestions for process improvements that has initiated the development of sub-divisions and building applications across the region and we hope the Inglewood forum will deliver the same,” he said.

The Inglewood Housing Forum seeks to advance innovative solutions to improve housing availability and affordability in the region.
